Moraine Lake Elopement

Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake in Banff National Park, 14 kilometres outside the Village of Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. Located in a spectacular valley in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Moraine Lake provides the ultimate romantic getaway for those seeking a luxurious elopement.

It’s waters are  a vivid shade of turquoise that changes in intensity through the summer as the glaciers melt. Set in the rugged Valley of the Ten Peaks, Moraine Lake is surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, and rock piles, creating a scene so stunning it almost seems unreal.

Lake Tahoe Elopement

Nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountain range, Lake Tahoe is one of the best places to elope due to its surrounding pine and aspen forests. A stunning hidden gem easily accessible from Reno International Airport, Lake Tahoe is only one hour away from the big city but filled with so many things to do. Between skiing and snowboarding in the winter to mountain biking, kayaking, and numerous hiking trails in the summer – Lake Tahoe is a prime spot for adventurous and athletic couples who want to elope in the wild.

Have your elopement on the observation deck at Heavenly Resort or the peaks on top of Squaw-Alpine. You’ll want to know the differences between North Lake and South Lake, as well as the locations available in the bi-state lake between California and Nevada. We wrote a guide for planning your Lake Tahoe elopement to help you achieve your dream elopement!

Torres Del Paine, Patagonia Elopement

Torres del Paine National Park is a national park in Chile that boasts mountains, glaciers, lakes, and rivers. The Cordillera del Paine is the centerpiece of the park. It lies in a transition area between the Magellanic subpolar forests and the Patagonian Steppes. To top it off, the park borders Bernardo O’Higgins National Park to the west and the Los Glaciares National Park to the north in Argentine territory.

You can plan a multi National Park elopement getaway in the same trip, while practicing your Spanish. Paine means “blue” in the native Tehuelche (Aonikenk) language and it really fits its name.

Grand Teton Elopement

Located south of Yellowstone National Park and north of the town of Jackson, Grand Teton is a wonder of lush valley floors, mountain meadows, alpine lakes and the rising peaks of the Teton Range.

While iconic locations like Mormon Row and the Moulton Barns may be the most photographed destinations in the park, Grand Teton’s celestial peaks also provide the perfect setting for for your elopement wedding ceremony with a backdrop of incredible landscapes. After the ceremony, feel free to explore the rest of Grand Teton National Park where you can explore over two hundred miles of trails, float the Snake River, and enjoy the serenity of this remarkable place.

Swiss Alps Elopement

Have you heard of the Matterhorn? Yeah, but not the Disneyland ride. This is the real thing. This ultimate Swiss icon looms over Zermatt, first drawing visitors here in the 1860s. The village of Zermatt itself is lovely and car-free, with old-fashioned brown chalets and winding alleys.

Skiing in the region often lasts through early summer, but when the weather’s warmer, it’s a great time to hike. You can get there by high speed train or fly into one of the nearby airports (Sion, Geneva, Zurich and Milan), which makes it a great place to elope any time of year.

Lodging accommodations are available seasonally inside the park at Lake Crescent Lodge, Log Cabin Resort, and Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort, and year-round at Kalaloch Lodge. Additional accommodations are available in communities outside the park. Lake Louise Elopement

From Calgary International Airport, it is only a two hour drive to this gorgeous turquoise lake. Lake Louise is a hamlet in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies, known for its turquoise, glacier-fed lake ringed by high peaks and overlooked by a stately chateau. There’s a canoe dock in summer, and a skating rink on the frozen lake in winter – plenty of inspiration for your dream elopement ceremony.

Beach and mountain elopement locations in San Francisco, California

Beach Elopement Packages

Hawaii Elopement

If a breathtaking Hawaii waterfall elopement is what you envisioned for your ceremony, this is where you want to be. There are so many beach elopement locations close to Waikiki and easily accessible by car. Sherwood Forest Beach, Waimanalo is located on the East Shore approximately 40 minutes from Waikiki. It is without a doubt one of the prettiest beaches Hawaii has to offer, with long stretches of white sand beach and crystal clear turquoise water.

Best Places to Elope in Hawaii: Heaven’s Point is one of the most stunning locations Oahu has to offer, with rocky cliffs below overlooking the turquoise blue ocean. Sandy Beach is located on the South East Shore approximately 30 minutes drive and shortly past Heaven’s Point. This famous body surfing beach is known for its golden sands, dramatic lava rocks, and shoreline tide pools.

If you are looking to stay closer to town, Waialae Beach and Magic Island are located approximately 10 minutes from Waikiki. Both offer a vast variety of photo opportunities, from an elegant grass oasis surrounded by palm trees, to enchanting beach images with quaint islands in the background. These elopement packages in Hawaii will create a backdrop you will spend a lifetime reminiscing about.

Orcas Island Elopement

Located at the northwestern edge of the USA near Seattle, there is a beautiful string of islands known as the San Juans. Have your elopement ceremony on horseshoe-shaped Orcas Island and drink in the green paradise the locals call “the gem of the San Juans.” Most of Orcas Island’s 57 square miles are rural and hilly, with curving roads that wind through forests and past artists’ studios, fields with old apple barns, and the occasional turn-of-the-century prune drying barn.  It’s a magical mix of arts and culture, lush forests, pristine lakes and endless outdoor possibilities – which makes Orcas island one of the best places to elope in the northern hemisphere!

Charming villages of Eastsound, Olga, Deer Harbor, West Sound and Orcas Village dot the island as centers of culture, art and cuisine. For outdoorsy couples, Moran State Park has several lakes and more than 38 miles of hiking trails, a perfect place to celebrate your elopement by hiking the rugged old growth trails to see the expansive marine vistas from the summit of Mount Constitution.

Big Sur Elopement

As you drive down Highway 1 from Carmel, you’ll start to see the stunning coast of Big Sur the moment you leave town, starting with Garrapata State Park. Known for its rolling golden hills, coastal cliffs, and Redwood trees, Big Sur is the perfect place to start your elopement adventure.

If you want coastal views and elope in Big Sur, you’re in luck! Andrew Molera State Park or Point Lobos State Park are both amazing locations for your Northern California elopement. Continuing down Highway 1, you’ll cross the iconic Bixby Bridge (that one Death Cab song!). Once over the bridge, you’ll start to see the giant redwoods in Pfeiffer Big Sur and Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Parks if you want to have a Redwoods forest elopement instead. Almost all these state parks require permits for elopements, so be sure to check with the individual park to fill out the paperwork ahead of time.

Tulum Elopement

South of the popular party destinations like Cancun and Playa Del Carmen, lies this much chiller and more relaxed beach town of Tulum. Always a popular destination for best places to elope in Mexico, there are several resorts and world-class restaurants in Tulum that can double as an elopement venue. A couple of lodging options if you’d like your Tulum elopement at a resort are Casa Violeta and Nativus Cenote. Many resorts are able to host your wedding ceremony at the beach with boho and island inspired decor, resulting in a perfect mix of elegance and wilderness.

A bit of advice: Aim to plan your elopement anywhere from late October-December, once the rainy season has passed. These months are still surprisingly warm and pleasant, but you’ll be eternally grateful for one fact: the seaweed will be gone! If you’re not familiar with this area, the seaweed can be an ongoing problem since it takes over the whole beach and attracts mosquitoes. At the end of the year, they are gone and you can have your beautiful elopement in Tulum.

Amalfi Coast Elopement

Pastel-colored villages on cliffs, narrow roads, and beautiful sea views will provide your wedding ceremony with the perfect backdrop overlooking Mediterranean Sea. Fly into the Salerno Costa D’Amalfi Airport and drive an hour and a half to your dream elopement in Italy. There are many resorts, al fresco restaurants, and cozy sea restaurants that are able to host your Amalfi Coast elopement ceremony and make planning an international wedding easy and enjoyable.

Best places to elope in the Amalfi Coast? Some of our favorite places are Positano, Sorrento, Ravello, Amalfi, and, of course, the romantic and dreamy Island of Capri. Naples and Pompeii are also very close and a visit here for your honeymoon could be a great idea. Not to mention the amazing local food and world-class restaurants all over Italy – one of the best elopement locations is without a doubt the enchanting Amalfi Coast.Amalfi Coast is one of the most famous spot of Italian seaside.
