Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel Wedding

Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel Wedding in South Lake Tahoe, CA

There are a few times in my career when I am absolutely amazed by how badass some couples are and how hard they celebrate. This is one of those times. Mandy and Chris are Kansas City residents, but they wanted to get married in South Lake Tahoe, one of the best destination wedding locations in the world. They decided on hosting the ceremony and reception at Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel.

Some things were non-negotiable: they wanted a super chill beach ceremony on the shores of Lake Tahoe with their friends and family all around them to celebrate their love. With the help of a fantastic planner, they were able to have their wedding ceremony at Lakeside Beach and the reception at Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel. The whole day was a such a fun time with their bridal party, climbing up rocks and hiking through the trees on their wedding day before the ceremony in the afternoon.

First Look at Cave Rock, Zephyr Cove

The best part is their heart-warming First Look on top of Cave Rock in Zephyr Cove. An iconic and stunning location on the south-east shore of Lake Tahoe and considered sacred by the Washoe Indians, the 3 million-year-old rock formation is known as the Lady of the Lake. It requires hiking in about half a mile from the trail head and a steep rock scramble to get to the top. They wanted mountain and lake views before their wedding ceremony, and this is the place.

Mandy, Chris, their bridesmaids and groomsmen were already in their wedding outfits at this point. Did this stop them? Absolutely not. Most brides don’t want to get their wedding dress dirty, let alone hike in it. Mandy is just a badass like that.

Their intimate wedding ceremony and reception afterwards at Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel was filled with love, little children, and some awesome dance moves. This was definitely one of my favorite small weddings to work this last summer.
