Maternity photos at Lake Tahoe | Kiva Beach | Azra + Mo
There are a few times in one’s life that change happens so suddenly and miraculously – and one of them is when you’re pregnant and creating a whole new life. I was glad to be called up by Mo one summer day, asking to have their maternity photos taken while they were visiting Lake Tahoe in August. Mo and Azra flew in from Florida to enjoy a week in the mountains before the answer to their duaa came along. The couple had been married for a few years and wished for a child. Azra believes in a higher power and prayed daily for their little one – and now here we are.
We walked along the shores of Kiva Beach in South Lake Tahoe. The well-worn paths of the beach is a local favorite for families with small children and dogs, since it is an open space where everyone can run around and enjoy the water. The paths were easy enough for Azra to navigate even at 8 months in her pregnancy. We got there right before sunset, and the famous Lake Tahoe sunsets did not disappoint. We were bathed in a beautiful late afternoon glow, which really emphasizes this couple’s happiness at finally becoming a family.
